Birthday Box: Let's Talk Blog Challenge.

12.5.14

Week 3 of Sarah's Blog Challenge is upon us! And oh my goodness how fun is this weeks topic? I have absolutely loved thinking of my ideal birthday presents! My birthday isn't until October but I think my choices are pretty universal all year round. So here's what to buy me if you fancy getting in the good books.

Unfortunately this skincare all belongs to Mama-Smiles.
1. High-End Skin-Care.
I guess beauty products are a given.. I love birthdays as I find it a a perfect excuse to stock up on skin care and products that I wouldn't normally indulge in. If I do splurge, it's on make-up but I only treat myself to expensive skin-care when I have some extra money floating around. I usually go for Estee Lauder products, they work wonders for me!

Decisions decision!
2. New Dress(es).
All birthdays need a celebration, and celebrations call for a new dress! Or two.. a girl needs options! My mumma has my style down and usually picks me up something pretty, but I always find picking up a couple of spares is helpful. Just in case a fashion faux-pas occurs!

3. West End Tickets.
Confession time. I am a musical theatre nut! I sing all day every day and if you catch me 9/10 times I'll be belting out Defying Gravity/On My Own/any Babs. I cannot get enough and currently have a list as long as my arm of shows I want to see. I'm lucky enough to have already seen Les Miserables, Wicked, Chicago and Fame and I need to feed my obsession more. I'm off to London in a few weeks and I'm genuinely considering going to see something by myself - I don't even care.

My snazzier socks.
4. Socks.
Sometimes simple presents are the best. I can't get enough socks, I've been into the whole frilly socks/heels trend for ages now but bed-socks are also a frequent purchase of mine, can't live without them! I also have a major feet-phobia which is another reason for my sock love. Give me all the socks.

5. Tom Fletcher.
This is a theoretical box right.. so it can be as big as I want? This may be slightly unrealistic but he is my perfect man so if someone could kindly package him up for me that would be lovely. Even his doppelgänger. I'm not fussy. (Yes I stole the picture from his twitter but look how cute!)

6. Cocktails.
What birthday celebration is complete without cocktails? My drink of choice is usually a Cosmopolitan (Carrie Bradshaw eat your heart out). Getting dolled up (usually in my new dress) and sipping with my girls is my favourite place to be!

I'm really not fussy and I literally love every present I ever get, home-made ones are always adorable too! These are just some little items that I'd especially enjoy. Thanks to Sarah for this topic I really loved it! Be sure to check her fabulous blog out over here. Hopefully you feel like you know me a bit better, and you know what to send my way when October comes around! xo

PS. Don't forget to enter my giveaway here! Who can say no to free lipstick? (Shameless plug.)

  6. :O :O :O WICKED!!! Going to see a musical is such a good idea! You should definitely go, even if it's on your own! It'll be so worth it.

I saw Phantom of the Opera years ago in London and it was the most amazing thing ever. Have been dying to see Wicked but never got around to it! Have you listened to the Legally Blonde musical? It took awhile to grow on me but some of the songs are so catchy and funny :D

Where are the speckley socks from? The multicoloured ones are so cute! Feet freak me the hell out so totally with you there! xx

    1. I think I will because it's not like you can talk during them anyway.

Oh my god Phantom! My parents went to see it on Broadway (eternally jealous) and they said it was incredible! Wicked is amazing, really funny but touching too! I've heard a few songs and I've loved them all! The Book of Mormon and Matilda are next on my list :D

Thanks! They're from Urban Outifitters, they were quite expensive but could not pass up on some glittery socks! xx
