Okay I know am so late on this
bandwagon but I have jumped on it with full force and seen the errors of my
ways! Why did no one tell me I was missing out? When I was carrying out my
rather extensive spring haul I picked up Touche Éclat in 2 colours, Luminous Radiance and Luminous Silk. Admittedly a
bit extravagant but because I’d never had one I was unsure of the colours and
couldn’t decide!
I was delighted when I opened up my parcel
and saw the gorgeous gold packaging I have seen everywhere! I couldn’t wait to
try them out so I quickly popped them on. Luminous Radiance is a pink-toned colour, whilst Luminous Silk is a much more neutral shade.
I must
admit on first glance of Luminous Radiance my heart dropped, as I never use
rosy tones under my eyes. But I put the doubt behind me and popped it on.
Although it did brighten up the area it was a tad too pink for my personal
preference. I do however absolutely love
this product on top of the cheekbones! The pink tones are gorgeous here as they
give a rosy sheen and highlight all at once. Perfect for those days when you
just fancy a subtle glow.Top: Luminous Radiance. Bottom: Luminous Silk. |
I was relieved to find that Luminous Silk
is a perfect match for my skin, a cool ivory shade that blends beautifully. This
shade definitely brightens me up more than Luminous Radiance so I tend to use
this under the eyes, down the bridge of the nose and on the corners of my mouth
to take away any shred of tiredness that may be lurking. It’s also fab at
making your eyes appear bigger by applying some in the inner corners. This shade is gorgeous on top of the cheekbones as it’s an amazing highlighter without looking too shiny. My only criticism is that I wouldn’t use this as a stand-alone concealer. It’s quite sheer so I find myself popping some of my usual concealer on my under-eye/nose area before applying the Touche Éclat.
All in all, this product is amazing and I
have no idea why it took me so long to get it! I’m really happy I got 2 colours
if I’m honest as I use them for different areas of the face. I already know I will be repurchasing these
shades when they run out. What shade do you use? Or are you (like I was) a Touche
Éclat virgin? xo
