Confession time! I’ve never owned a L’oreal
product (that wasn’t haircare) before this. Oops. When it comes to High Street
I tend to stick to my old faithfuls Rimmel and Maybelline, but as soon as I saw
this mascara I knew I’d have to try it.
Big, open-eyed looks are my go-to and
I rarely go a day without using some tip or trick to make my eyes appear
larger. Recently I’d been using Volume Million Lashes by Maybelline (which is a
firm favourite of mine) but I like to mix things up from time to time. Miss Manga mascara comes in 3 colours, black, purple and turquoise. After accidentally
purchasing it in turquoise (doy) and returning it I finally got to use it
properly.
The first thing you notice about this is
the tapered wand that is quite heavily loaded with product. This is something I
usually hate. I always go for plastic wands with a light layer of product as I
find it easier to avoid the dreaded clumping. But I must admit I was pleasantly
surprised with this!
The mascara gave great length after just
one coat, and as someone who suffers from stumpy lashes I was amazed. I did
find it took a few more coats to significantly improve volume, but even then
the clumping was minimal.
Top: Before application. Bottom: After 3 coats. |
The tapered wand makes those pesky bottom
lashes easy to coat without looking too ‘spidery’. I rarely coat my bottom
lashes as I have a frequent smudging problem but because this product was made
for them I tried it out. I wore this mascara on a 3-hour bus to Belfast and
there wasn’t a single trace of black on my under-eye area, and I even slept for
a bit.
I absolutely adore this mascara and am so
impressed by its formula! I even think it may have bumped my previous
favourite, Volume Million Lashes off the top spot. Sorry Maybelline! Have you
tried the Miss Manga mascara? Were you as impressed as me? xo
This is one of my faves !
