A Very Nosey Beauty Tag.

25.4.14

I am super late in getting this post up, but my week away meant I simply couldn’t fit it in. The lovely Gillian from purplegillian.com tagged me in this and I think it’s such a good post to let you all know a little bit more about me and my beauty preferences! So here we go…

Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners and lip products or lose all of your palettes and eye shadows?
Probably all my palettes and shadows, I couldn’t live without my purple lips!

Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?
Never be able to cut it again. Currently trying to grow my hair after getting it chopped 2 years ago ahh, never again!

If you had £500, would you spend this on clothes or makeup?
This is a silly question, makeup!

Would you rather only use one eye-shadow colour or one lip colour for the rest of your life?
One lip colour definitely. Eye-shadows change up a look so much I couldn’t sacrifice that.

Bright nails or nude nails all year round?
Nude, although I don’t often wear nail varnish to be honest. When I do it’s pinks or topes.

Would you rather never be able to use lipgloss or paint your nails again?
I never really use either.. but lipgloss + wind = nightmare! So I could probably live without that one.

Describe your perfect mascara. Have you found one?

My number 1 mascara at the minute is Illamasquas, it’s not perfect though it can look a bit ‘spidery’ on the bottom if you’re not careful. I'm also loving Miss Manga by L'oreal.

What's your ideal coverage foundation?
I love full coverage! I used to love Double Wear by Estee Lauder for coverage, although recently it’s gotten a bit heavy for me, I’ve moved on to Rich Liquid by Illamasqua and it gives amazing coverage with the teeniest bit of product. Tiny problem though in that it can go shiny without primer and powder.

Favourite high street/drugstore beauty brand?
I’ve always loved Rimmel but I’ve recently been trying Maybelline and I think it’s edging ahead! Any Revlon foundations I’ve tried are also great!

Favourite high end beauty brand?
Do I even need to answer this? Illamasqua.

Not even half of it..
Is there any makeup you can leave the house without wearing?
I’m not that bad when it comes to leaving the house, as long as I have what I call ‘minimal’ makeup (foundation, blush, brows and mascara) on I’m okay.

What is your most cherished beauty product?
This changes all the time but currently it has to be my Sculpting Duo by Illamasqua. It’s the first thing I reach for if I’m ever going away, I don’t like to be apart from it for too long. Amazing cheekbones in an instant!

What skin type do you have?
Oily/Combination – torture!

Do you always use the same skin routine or do you like switching it up?
I tend to stick with the same one but sometimes throw in a new face mask of exfoliator now and again. I don’t like changing the chemicals I put on my face too much. I blogged on my current skincare regime here (if you're interested).

Top 5 Beauty Gurus?
Sharon Farrell

If you could only buy one makeup brand forever which would you buy?
Illamasqua.

Which brand has your favourite packaging?
I’m a big fan of minimalist packaging so I’d say MAC or Illamasqua.

Which do you apply first, concealer or foundation?
Always foundation as I use my concealer to highlight so it would be pointless putting it on after.

Name a makeup crime you hate.
When people have so much lipgloss on it looks like goop, or bad contouring. Tsk tsk.

Quick Fire:
Blush or bronzer?
Bronzer.

Lipgloss or lipstick?
Lipstick.

Foundation or concealer?
Foundation.

Brushes or sponges?
Brushes.

OPI or Essie?
Essie.

Lotion or Body Butter?
Body Butter.

So those are my questions done, quite a wordy post sorry lovelies! I'll leave the 5 bloggers I'm tagging below with their links, looking forward to seeing all their answers! I hope you all feel like you know me and my beauty regime a little better now, and I'll be back with another post soon! xo
