My favourite thing to blog about! I went a little spending crazy over the past few weeks, and collectively it all amounted to a rather large beauty haul. I love noseying at what other people are buying so I thought I would do a little post to show you all what I picked up!
I (shockingly) forgot I’m a member of the
Debenhams Beauty Club until I recently got a little catalogue in the post from
them. I went online to see what newbies they had and this is when it all
started! First up I went on over Urban Decay to take a look at their Naked
range and finally picked up the gorgeous Naked 3. Personally I wasn’t fussed on
picking up Naked 3 when it came out. I’m not a fan of pink tones on my eyes but
after reading many a review I bit the bullet and bought it. Super
excited to see what looks I can achieve with this palette! Whilst browsing the Naked range I also
picked up the lovely Naked Flushed palette. I’m really into
contouring/highlighting at the minute and I’ve been looking for a more budget friendly
kit than my Illamasqua Sculpting Duo. Although I’ve heard good things about the Sleek kit,
I’m already a firm fan of the Naked range so I opted for this one.
I'm really looking forward to giving them both a try. Chanel was my next stop on this beauty rampage! In my opinion a girl can never have too many foundations, so I indulged and picked up Perfection Lumiere. My first ever Chanel product, I’m hoping it lives up to expectations.
Purple lips for all! |
I’ve had my eye on Rebel by MAC ever since
my gorgeous cousin Zara wore it on a night out. Having read countless blogs on
how lovely it is and because I’m such a purple lip fan I just had to have it.
Only my 2nd MAC lippy which is hard to believe! Now comes have the product I’m most excited
about. I finally got my hands on some Lip Tar by OCC! I saw another blogger
write about this (http://the-pale-girl.blogspot.ie/
if you’re interested) and knew I would love it. Again the beautiful Zara helped
me out in this as she was recently in New York and kindly picked it up for me
in Sephora. Another purple for the collection – yay!
I then popped to Boots to pick up a few
High Street favourites and give my bankcard a break. First thing in the basket
was my current favourite High St. concealer. The Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer
has impressed me so much, I blogged about it here if you’re interested in more
of my thoughts, but it’s definitely a firm favourite for me on those early
mornings to tackle the bags! I always put off buying new mascara and I have no idea why. I’ve needed new ‘day-time’ mascara for a while, and although I love my Volume Million Lashes I decided it was time for a change. So I headed over to the L’oreal stand to pick up the Miss Manga mascara! I’d been looking at this for a while, as big eyes are a firm favourite of mine so I’m intrigued to see how much this opens my eyes up.
If you’re a frequent reader of Rosy Smiles,
or just know me in real life you’ll know I have a large pore-related problem. My
gorgeous Illamasqua matte primer (I know I’m addicted) solves the problem quite
well but I don’t like using it for work everyday so I bought Maybelline Baby
Skin Instant Pore Eraser. Anything that has erase and pores in the same
sentence, gimme! Time for lips again! It looks like orange is going
to be massive again this summer and it’s a look I’ve never tried. To ease
myself into the orange world I picked up a Revlon Colourburst Matte Balm in
Audacious, which I’d describe as Coral with some orange tones. I haven’t even
worn it properly and it’s already making me crave summer! I also bought my first ever lip liner recently
(oops)! I had a No. 7 voucher lying around and I’m a lip-liner virgin so I
treated myself. I got a red liner as it’s a pretty staple lip colour for me.
I’m really looking forward to seeing how it affects the staying power of my
favourite reds!
Last up is my current favourite hair care
regime by Lee Stafford. His hair growth shampoo, conditioner and hair treatment
have not left my bathroom since way before Christmas. I love the collections and will do a more
detailed blog about it soon.
I also rather boringly picked up some dry
shampoo and new ‘pro’ whitening toothpaste woo.. But I want my gnashers to be
nice and bright for summer and all the lovely lip colours I hope to wear!
- I may vlog about some of these products as well as blog, would love to know if you guys think I should and what products you’d like to see in more detail! xo
