Naked Flushed by Urban Decay.

28.3.14

The first review from my little haul! As I’ve said loads before I’m really into contouring and highlighting at the minute. Most of the products I use for this are Illamasqua that I unfortunately cannot afford to wear all the time. I’ve been looking for a little duo/trio palette to use everyday so I picked up Naked Flushed by Urban Decay as I’m already a big fan of the Naked eye-shadow palettes.

This lovely compact has everything a girl needs for glowing cheeks! It contains a matte bronzer, which is medium-tan with orange-brown undertones. A champagne beige highlighter with a frosted finish and a medium-dark rosy pink blush is a with a hint of coral and a matte finish.

The 3 shades can be blended together or worn separately. I was a bit wary of the bronzer on my pale skin to begin with. In the compact it looks rather orange but I was pleasantly surprised. It’s not as well pigmented as other bronzers I’ve used but this isn’t necessarily a bad thing as it avoids oompa-loompa cheeks! The finish is matte, which is my personal favourite as it looks more natural. I don't think I would use this as a contour shade due to the orange tones, but it gives a lovely sun-kissed look!

Lately I’ve gone off blush as I’ve just been contouring, but when I do wear it I love a bright candy pink colour. The shade in this palette was a bit too dark for me personally, but applied lightly and blended with the bronzer it can give a cute rosy look. I just unfortunately wouldn’t wear it alone.

Top: Bronzer. Middle: Highlighter. Bottom:Blush.
The highlighter is the final colour and it’s also much darker than anyone I’ve used before! This isn’t a negative, just something to be aware of. I usually dust my highlighter lightly on top of the cheekbones but I find it quite hard to do with this. It’s quite a heavy product so you have to be very light-handed with it. When it does work how I want it looks lovely and glowing, it just takes more concentration to get there!

All in all I was slightly disappointed in this palette, I wouldn’t wear it for a night out or anything I needed long-wear for. But if I was just popping out for a bit or I fancied a rosy glow for work this would do the job nicely! Although I like the bronzer I don’t think I’ll be repurchasing just for one colour! Have you guys tried Naked Flushed? What other contour kits should I look into? xo

  1. I have looked at this palette before but was put off by the highlighter and blush. Think this post has reinforced that I shouldn't get it!
I haven't tried it, but I have heard so many great things about the Sleek contour kit!
