Naked Basics.

Hi everyone! Today I’m going to post about one of my favourite Christmas presents from last year, the Naked Basics Palette. I know it’s been out forever but I only recently got using it properly and it is beautiful!

I had wanted the Naked Basics palette since I got my hands on Naked 2 and fell in love with the few matte shades, which unfortunately were only 3 of!

This palette consists of 6 beautiful matte full-size shades. The neutral tones mean they’re perfect for everyday wear, and buildable for a more dramatic look. The full sized shades include:

Mac Mulch.

As you all know I recently invested in some MAC products for the first time (you can read how they went down here). And whilst I was doing so I also picked myself up an eye-shadow. My first shadow from MAC simply had to be a neutral wearable brown. To be honest I rarely venture away from neutrals on the eyes. So I opted for Mulch, which is a velvet shadow and described as a red brown with a bronze pearl.

What's my Face Worth?

So a few days ago I was having a nosey at some of my favourite blogs when I came across the ‘What’s my Face Worth?’ tag. On the blog that I read, the face worth was over $300! I thought this was insane so I decided to work mine out and I was very surprised at the outcome.

I did the tag for my everyday ‘work face’ as oppose to something a bit more glam!

Freak by Illamasqua.

Todays post is all about Illamasqua’s gorgeous scent, Freak. Before Christmas my sister and I were in the Liverpool store, when we asked the gorgeous Leena about perfume for our mum.  She showed us ‘Freak’, Illasmasqua’s first scent and I fell in love!  It’s described as ‘A concoction of dangerously exotic flowers, blended together to celebrate the night.’

Skin Care for Dummies.

I have been such a bad blogger recently! Had a couple of things to work on but they are (nearly) sorted so I am back in business!

So a couple of weeks ago I posted a blog about my amazing new No. 7 exfoliator, and in that blog I had mentioned about my new skincare routine (which I love). Now it’s time to delve a little deeper into it. Although I have always taken my make-up off it properly it was with the least effort possible, usually shoving a wipe around my face hoping it works. And as far as moisturiser went I pretty much grabbed the first one I saw and slapped it on before my foundation. One of my new years resolutions was to try and take better care of my skin so I went out and stocked up on a few basic bits and pieces to wean me into the daunting world that is skincare.

Nivea Daily Essentials: Refreshing Facial Cleansing Wipes for Normal & Combination Skin

Okay so these wipes are not a new product for me; once upon a time they were the only things I used! For me these are the best wipes I’ve ever used to remove makeup. They really get in underneath the products and take it off effectively. I also find that the ridged texture gives my skin a good scrub! Something I never found with plain old baby wipes and the like.

The formula in these wipes is very gentle and has never caused me to break out, always a bonus! These are step 1 in my day-to-day skincare routine, and I usually leave these beside my bed when I’m on a night out. I hate sleeping with makeup on and even after a few bevvies you can’t do too much damage with a wipe!

Once you go MAC...

So a few weeks ago I popped to Liverpool to surprise all my uni friends, and while I was there I just had to pop into MAC and get my first few proper pieces to try out the brand. I’ve only ever had lippys and although they’re amazing I was dying to try out their foundations. As my best mate (and fellow makeup lover) Charlotte said ‘Once you go MAC you’ll never go back’. So naturally I had to test this out.  It was a really miserable afternoon and the shop was rammed! Despite this I still got service relatively quickly and the lovely Alex helped me pick out a foundation and concealer. I opted for MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NW15 and MAC Select Cover-Up also in NW15.

No. 7 Stay Perfect Lipstick Review.

The birds seem to like it.

Another No. 7 post sorry guys. But I really can’t get enough of those money off vouchers when they’re out! Todays post is on one of my most loved make-up items, lipstick! Anyone who knows me will tell you that my favourite lip colour is dark purple. So because I had my little voucher I decided to step out of my comfort zone and go for a Barbie pink colour called Mischief. I went for the Stay Perfect range as I've heard some good things about it and I love anything that stays put!

Swatch on my very pale skin.
Prior to use I thought that this lipstick would be matte (my personal favourite) but when it went on I found it to have a more shimmery finish.
